The emphasis of this programme is very much on the approach to different conditions – practical examination techniques, application of appropriate diagnostic procedures and an understanding of the potential complications associated with different body systems.
Designed primarily for veterinary surgeons working in small animal practice, who would like to strengthen their surgical knowledge and practical skills, allowing them to manage surgical situations confidently and appropriately.
The course includes instruction in pathogenesis, immunology, viral therapy, inherited metabolic diseases, environmental toxicology, anatomical and clinical pathology, necropsy and biopsy techniques, clinical laboratory analysis, pathological interpretation, and disease diagnosis.
After completing candidates may be employed by diagnostic laboratories, including private or government-owned laboratories, contract laboratories, zoos, and wildlife agencies, academic institutions, industry (pharmaceutical, biotechnological, chemical and agrochemical) or government agencies.

1. Candidates should complete their Bachelor's degree from a recognized institute with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
2. Candidates must also have completed their 10+2 in science stream.
